Orla Corrigan joined the Porterhouse Contracts team in October 2020. She graduated from the Dublin Institute of Technology in 2016 and has a BA (Hons) in Interior and Furniture Design. She has worked on many commercial and domestic interiors fitouts in London and Dublin. She has a vast knowledge of building and furniture design and she is available for interior design consultations with our clients. Orla also has a very keen interest in dementia and Alzheimer’s friendly design and has undertaken the University of Stirling’s Dementia and Design Course. Orla has worked with the Alzheimer’s society of Ireland on a number of dementia day care centres across the country as well as alongside many Nursing Home redevelopments nationwide. She can offer expert advice on dementia friendly colour schemes, layouts and suitable fabric designs from cushions to curtains to create a home-like feel for people living with dementia. Orla can advise hospitals and care homes on fabric type, colour, pattern and style which will improve the health and wellbeing of the elderly including people living with dementia and other cognitive impairments.
